The scientific method: between Al-Jahiz and Ibn Khaldun
Abstract
My connection to this research is some old, dating back to the days of masters study, when the Faculty of Arts at Cairo University required knowledge of Ibn Khaldun's genius as a condition for passing the first-year examination in it. At that time, I stood on many aspects of the mans thought, in his culture and genius, represented by the social theories that the universities of the East and the West still adopt until now. As for the other side that prays on this subject is new, it started when he was entrusted with teaching the statement and the explanation) to Al-Jahiz in the fourth year in the Department of Arabic Language, for it was necessary to surround the mans thought from its various aspects, not only through this book, but through His other books, most notably the Book of Animals. When I looked at this book, what drew me to the introduction of Ibn Khaldun. I returned to my memory of years ago, so the two meet on more than one side, but the basis of this meeting is in what I saw, the scientific method that combined the two great minds.
