THE Oriental School and its Role in Translating the Meanings of the Noble Qur’an
Abstract
This research reviews some of the mistakes made by English-speaking translators in translating the meanings of the Noble Quran, and it is a comparative research between the translations of the English Professor J. Arthur. Arberry and the translation of the Indian Abdullah Youssef Ali and the translation of the Moroccan Arab Dr. Taqi Al-Din Al-Hilali, and focuses on showing the attempt to generalize the English term of worship and generalizing it to include Islamic worship, and reviews the Biblical and Christian terms and flags and the attempt to deliberately insert them into the Quranic translations, as well as the lack of understanding and awareness of some Arabic vocabulary by some translators ,Which were mentioned in the Noble Quran, such as the vocabulary of al-Kalalah, al-Saimah, al-Wasila, al-Ham, and other things that were specific to the Arab environment in terms of customs and temperament. Then the researcher presented the appropriate recommendations for this research and its results.
