Abstract

The Turkish-Libyan relations witnessed important developments for the period from 2002-2011. In 2002, the Justice and Development Party came to power in Turkey, which adopted a new foreign policy based on openness to Turkeys Islamic and Arab surroundings, which positively affected the Turkish-Libyan relations with some minor problems. Between the two parties, the relationship of the two parties continued in this manner until the outbreak of the February 2011 revolution, which the Turkish position on it took on several stages for fear of harming reconciliation in Libya.
