Al-Qafti's book "The History of the Wise" is considered to be an important Islamic historical literature. Perhaps its importance comes from the fact that it focused attention on the history of the science and scholars of Arab-Islamic civilization, and between the role that these people played in social life. He has sought to establish a dictionary in which the movement of science and the place occupied by scholars in Islamic civilization are dated, as it is a rich historical record depicting the scientific dialogue between the Muslim scientific mind and the foreign mind, and pictures of the scientific dialogue between the predecessors of Muslim scholars and the successor. The student notes this book has two basic advantages. The first owner of the book presented the modern researcher with abundant scientific material known to him as foreign sources.
