Abstract

The idea of the self emerged as a new way in psychology at the hands of (William James) in 1890, where the self counted that it is the sum of what the individual possesses or what he can say that his body has its characteristics, his capabilities, his family possessions, his enemies, his profession, etc. The concept of the self has evolved In contemporary psychology where it means two aspects: the subject as a subject and the self as a process, as a movement, action and activity as a set of activities and processes such as thinking, perception, remembrance, etc.
