Abstract

The painting of ruins occupies a large area in Imru al-Qaiss poetry . Most of the texts have been pictures of the annihilation. The manifestations of life are almost non-existent in his poetry. Like other poets, he quickly stops talk about the ruins and he starts talking about other subjects. It may be that he has an orientation towards the past and recalls the moments which are full of vitality and fertility or to move towards future action. But all of these movements contradict in its content with the scenes of ruins. The commemorative action of the past adventures took a positive part that contributed in saving the poet from his sudden sense of remembrance or watching the places of the ruins .
