The onomasticon of character contribute in the referring to its characteristic features , its descriptions , as well as its characterization. The onomastion in the novel characters ,at the beginning of the novel , facilitate the description , the discovery of its secretive and finally fix it in the reader mind .In the novel of the City of God there are many non-principal characters which take their singularity from its own form , in some instance , and from their contribution with the protagonist or minor (main or secondary) characters . In the City of God novel , the non-principle characters are numerous , and accordingly , it takes many names which some times differ or non differ from the component of the character. Some of these names does not contain any indication which refer or conform with the indication of the characters , but its merely a name referring to the nationality of the character whether Arabic or non Arabic names .The present study represents an attempt to explain the onomasticon of non principle character in the city of God novel which is written by Hasan Hameed .
