Abstract

The goal of this research is to find out the role of the western cultural means that are used to empower the Mousilli women. The research also tries to learn about the reasons that make the Mousilli woman work through the social media and role of electronic marketing in enabling the Mousilli woman both socially and economically.This research could be classified as descriptive; the methods used include an electronic survey besides the interviews and observations. The sample consists of (50) women from Mosul city who own small businesses that use the social media to market their products.The study came up with the following results:1. Examinations of the field found that the main two social media (100%) used to market the products are (Facebook) and (Instagram).2.The Main reason that gives motivation for women to use social media to market products is poverty in the first place (80%). The second reason is that women do not have to go out of the house to work (72%).3.Economic impacts of women using the electronic marketing include: freedom to use the income, economic independence, self-actualization, getting enough information about project, making unexpected profits.4. The social impacts of resorting to electronic marketing by women include: optimal use of free time, self-reliance, making social relations, self-actualization, making decisions, improving the social status.
