Abstract
This research discusses the subject of the European influence in modern Arab thought through reading in a book by the British orientalist Albert Hourani, who was able through a group of his books to bet on the value of European influence in modern Arab thought and formulate its most prominent features, and in this research an attempt to highlight the most prominent stations that Hourani addressed it through his writings on monitoring the European impact on modern Arab thought and the project of the modern Arab renaissance, which was led by a group of men of thought, politics, science, language and knowledge by relying on his most prominent books in this regard, which is still considered one of, uh, works that dealt with modern Arab thought and the nature of The social transformations brought about by European thought in modern Arab history.
