This study focused on highlighting the concept of augmented reality technology and its use in the educational process, identifying the characteristics of augmented reality technology in education, its most important uses and applications in the educational process, and the working methods of augmented reality technology, as well as the difficulties and challenges resulting from the use of augmented reality technology in the educational process This study seeks to illustrate the most important uses of augmented reality technology in education for use in streamlining abstract concepts, and to identify challenges that prevent the use of this technique The study relied on the analytical descriptive curriculum and found that augmented reality technology and its use relied heavily on the creation of technical and material requirements so that institutions could use and benefit from their role in education, as they were an important element of the educational process if there was rich educational content that would help to understand substantive content The study drew a set of conclusions, the most important of which were: 1-Augmented reality technology contains multimedia texts, images, three-dimensional objects, and drawings within the program that help students to learn about scientific facts, concepts and instructions in an easy and good way2-It is beneficial for the benefit of the learner, the teacher and the whole educational process because this technology is one of the latest technologies that enables learners to understand the themes of content.3-Further studies and research can be on augmented reality technology and its use in the future educational process.4-Expand research and scientific studies of the pros and cons of augmented reality technology and how it is used by following the technological developments.
