This research is a practical study of " Les Impatientes " a novel by Amadou Amal Djali, which won the Goncourt Choice Award in the East 2021. The research aims to study in particular the syntactic structure of the simple sentence in the novel. The research provides an overview of the novel and the importance of the simple sentence for Djali. It also provides a detailed definition of a simple sentence to understand its linguistic nature. To conclude, the research finds that the constructive elements of a simple sentence can include a complete meaning if a simple sentence contains only one structural element or several structural elements. For example, the subject followed by the predicate is studied in detail according to the syntactic structure of the sentences quoted from the novel .
