The Hanafi religion in the Arabian Peninsula Historical study
Abstract
The Hanafi creed has its origins in the spread of humanity across the world. The prophets, starting with Adam, proclaimed it as a creed and a way of life. It was rooted in the books of the prophets and messengers as a firm and steadfast doctrine to be a way of life in this world and the hereafter. Although there was a period between one prophet and another, its validity remained established among many nations and peoples. Allah wanted to bring out a light among them that would illuminate the darkness of misguidance and polytheism, and this light shone through the call of Hanafiyyah. This was evident in the period between Jesus and our Prophet Muhammad, when a number of Hanafis appeared such as Waraqah ibn Nawfal, Zaid ibn Amr ibn Nufayl, Khalid ibn Sinan al-`Absi, Hanzalah ibn Safwan, and Umeyyah ibn Abi al-Salt. They, and others like them, though individuals are considered by Allah as a community for carrying the truth of the creed and belief in the call of the prophets and messengers, which is ( The Hanafiyyah al-Samha).
