Many works have been written about the general history of Turkish literature. It is possible to write the history of Iraqi Turkmen Literature by making use of these studies. Turkish literature has a rich history in Iraq. It is important and necessary to record our literary heritage from the past to the present as a historical discipline. While preparing the History of Turkmen Literature, I think that systematically separating it into centuries within the framework of literary accumulations and works makes it easier in terms of recording the history of literature. Because Turkmen literature in Iraq has a rich cultural heritage starting from Divan literature, passing through the royal and republican periods until today. In this study, it has been tried to produce some ideas for writing the history of literature in line with the studies and examinations on Turkmen literature.
