Baghdad in the Abbasid era (132-656 A.H./ 750-1258 A.D)
Abstract
It is no secret to anyone that economic crises have negative effects on the fluctuation of prices of commodities and foodstuffs, and others, which of course must be reflected in the entirety of peoples daily lives. In this sense, the rise and fall of prices affected the people's living and lifestyles. In this research, we try to show the depth of that impact on the social reality of the city of Baghdad as a model for the study, and the accompanying negative effects resulting from that disparity in prices of manifestations and negative effects on the social reality of the city of Baghdad in the Abbasid era, which witnessed many economic crises. Consequently, this caused a significant impact on the price value of the prices of various commodities and merchandise in the citys markets in terms of their height and fluctuation, which In turn, it left negative impacts on the social life of people, especially the poor and those with limited income.
