Abstract

The construction of the theatrical text relies mainly on conversational sequences among characters. Therefore, this type of literary text seems the most appropriate type to be tackled in French oral lessons such as conversation, comprehension, and expression. In order to have a clear idea of theatrical texts characteristics as well as to employ it for languages sake, we highlight two points. The first point concerns the most common technical terms in the theatrical text, its conventional forms and, its functions. The second point tackles the idea of using theatrical text as a communicative supplement in French as a foreign language through sections of plays.
