Abstract
The purpose of the present research was to recognize the tasks educational guide in middle schools from the point of view of the students and to identify the differences in the level of tasks the of the educational guide according to the gender variant (male/female) in the (right/left) sides of the city of Mosul. The basic research specimen consisted of 300 (male- female) students selected randomly from (8) middle schools in the city of Mosul; (4) schools from the right side and (4) schools from the left side. A random, class specimen was chosen from the classes of these schools; (38) male students and (37) females from each grade. In order to achieve the research objectives, the two researchers designed the research, which was initially composed of (29) paragraphs, each contains three alternatives (highly agree, moderately agree, disagree) and the apparent credibility of the tool was verified by showing it to a group of experts and professors specialized in the educational and psychological sciences, and the researchers verified its stability via the retest method as it reached a value of stability factor equals to (0.95). The data were statistically processed using the Pearson association factor, the T-test for one specimen, the T-test for two independent specimens and the T-test of the association factor indication; the appropriate statistical means were used. The main findings of the study were as follows: One of the most important results of the study is the existence of significant difference in the level of the role of the educational guide according to the gender variable to the benefit of males, as well as the absence of any moral difference in the level of the role of the educational guide according to the city- side variant (right-left).
