Digital journalism applications in the language class. Case of Department of French Language/ University of Mosul/Iraq
Abstract
Our research is considered an analytical study that aimed at determining the possibility of exploiting articles from the digital journalism as an educational tool in the classroom learning French as a foreign language. We can observe that the French digital journalism is an effective tool for every learner who wants to improve his language skills because it is a permanent source of information. We can also say that journalistic articles act as nourishment for the mind and cultural enrichment, which helps educate learners about French culture and language. This research is an empirical study whose approach is based on observation, in addition to, two questionnaires on the use of digital journalism in the French language learning classroom, one for teachers and the other for students in the French language department / University of Mosul. We try to focus most of our attention on data analysis in order to obtain satisfactory results and answer questions and hypotheses related to the use of digital journalism in the French language classroom.
