Abstract

The research deals with a historical issue that should be highlighted, which is the position of the Druze minorities on recruitment into the Israeli occupation army. The new Yishuv - who are the Jews - focused its efforts on establishing an economic, political and civilizational structure within the framework of isolationist concepts that separated them from the Arabs. The concepts caused tension and conflict between them and the Arabs, The Yishuv is a term used to refer to the Jews and their organizations in Palestine since the first Jewish immigration in 1882 AD. The term is Hebrew which means settlement, and refers to the Jewish groups that settled in the Palestinian territories. The Jews worked to convince the Druze leaders that cooperation with ((Israel)) would benefit those leaders and recognize them as an independent sect, and to persuade the Druze leaders to allow Druze youth to join the minority unit and enlist in their army, the occupation army.
