Abstract

The academic movement flourished in the Islamic world during the third and fourth centuries. Politically speaking, there was a kind of deterioration. abaristn was one of the centers of Persian culture due to its flourishing trading and spreading of various doctrines at that time. After spreading of Islam, there was a great variedness in the intellectual activity in abaristn. The Islamic culture merged with other cultures including the previous ones. This led to flourishing of sciences and arts in their various kinds.The present study deals with the academic institutions which were the attention focus of the cAlawiState represented by paying attention to Islamic studies like: interpretation, hadith, jurisprudence and the humanities like history. Similar attention paid to pure sciences like medicine, mathematics and astrology.
