The Impact of Scaffolding Educational Strategy the Development of their Mental Alertness Fifth-Grade Literary Students
Abstract
The aim of the research is to identify:_ Following the educational scaffolding strategy in developing mental alertness among fifth grade literary students in geography, and represented the research community in the Mosul District Center, and the research sample consisted of (56) students from the fifth preparatory students, for the year (2023 _2024) randomly selected from the research community, the experimental group included (28) students from Al-Shafei High School and the officer (28) students from Abu Hanafi High School, tool: mental alertness scale test prepared by the researcher, the tool became composed of (40) items in its final form.After preparing the teaching plans and the tool, and the experiment began (8/10/2023) and continued until (24/12/2023), and after the end of the experiment, the researcher applied the research tool to the students of my group and by three lessons. After correcting the students' answers to the tool, the researcher collected and identified data using statistical means according to a statistical program Spss and results:_ There is a statistically significant difference at the level of (0.05) between the average development of mental alertness for students of the experimental group that is taught by the strategy of educational scaffolding and the average development of mindfulness for students of the control group that is taught in the usual way and for the benefit of experimental, as the researcher reached a number of recommendations, including The Preparation and Training Unit at the General Directorate of Education in Nineveh Governorate conducted training courses for geography teachers for the preparatory stages on the educational scaffolding strategy, and recommended proposals, including, the impact of the educational scaffolding strategy on acquiring geographical concepts and developing self-confidence among fifth grade middle school students.
