Sustainable Development Goals

Iraqi Journal of Statistical Sciences (IQJOSS) is a scientific and open access journal. This journal has been published twice a year by the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, University of Mosul, Iraq. The iThenticate is used to prevent plagiarism and to ensure the originality of our submitted manuscripts. A double-blind peer-reviewing system is also used to assure the quality of the publication. The Iraqi Journal of Statistical Sciences was established in 2005 and publishes original research, review papers in the field of Statistical Science, Mathematical and Computers.

Iraqi Journal of Statistical Sciences (IQJOSS) is a Signatory to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Publishers Compact.  IQJOSS supports the following U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) :

  • Improving Data Collection and Statistics: Enhancing the capacity to collect and analyze data at all levels to support evidence-based decision-making.

  • Data Accessibility for All: Ensuring that data is accessible to researchers, policymakers, and communities to help identify development needs and promote transparency and accountability.

  • Enhancing Statistical Capacity: Building statistical capacities in developing countries to provide accurate and reliable data that supports progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

  • Monitoring Progress Towards Goals: Using statistics to track progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and assess the social, economic, and environmental impact of policies and programs.

  • Supporting Data-Driven Decisions: Providing accurate and reliable statistics to support decision-making in sectors such as health, education, energy, water, and other critical areas to achieve sustainable development.

  • Promoting International Statistical Collaboration: Encouraging collaboration between statistical institutions globally to share data, best practices, and standardize statistical methods to ensure consistency and reliability across countries.
