Abstract

The study aimed:
1- Building a self-assessment scale for the Taekwondo players in Iraq.
2-Creating standard levels of Taekwondo players in Iraq in the light of the self- assessment scale.
3-self-identification skills of Taekwondo players in Iraq. The research community is represented by the Taekwondo players participating in the Iraqi championship for the sports season 2018, which are (178) players distributed in (18) clubs. The sample of the research consisted of those who were able to reach them and obtain their answers on the scales of the scale to be built. The number of (124) players from the (18) participating clubs was (64,24) of the total research community (178) The sample is divided in two samples of (60) players and (124) players.
The researcher used the necessary statistical means in constructing the skill level of the Iraqi players in Taekwondo .
The researcher concluded the following :
1- the self-assessment scale of Taekwondo players was built.
2- the standard levels of the self-assessment of the skills of Taekwondo players were found. 3. Most Taekwondo players are at the standard (average) level in the self-assessment scale. The researcher recommended to adopt the scale prepared in this research as an indicator to measure the self-assessment of the skill of Taekwondo players.
