Abstract

The importance of this research liesin determining the most proprioception's aspects and anthropometric measurements which differentiate the various levels of classified fencers at the three fencing weapons, Foil, Epee and sabre. The sample included 36 fencers which they had the first and final sex positions for the three weapons in the Iraqi states competition of the fencing. The proprioception tests included the measurements of strength, time and distance sensations. The anthropometric measurements included width of the shoulders, width and circumference of the hips, length and circumference of the thigh, length and circumference of the lower arm and length of the arm. Having the stability coefficient, the main experiment was applied and the data were processed statistically by using the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, two independent "t" test and percentage. The results found there were no significant differences in proprioception and anthropometric measurements between the superiors and non superiors for the three fencing weapon. So, the research included that the proprioception and anthropometric measurements could not differentiate between the superiors and non superiors for the three fencing weapon. Finally the research offered certain recommendations which are proper to the results.
