The proactive behavior of the pioneer Iraqi athletes working in sports institutions

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the level of proactive behavior of the pioneer athletes working in sports institutions, and the researchers used the descriptive approach in their survey study, and the research community included (400) leading athletes working in Iraqi sports institutions. (10, 180, 30, 80) respectively, and in order to collect information, the proactive behavior scale was codified, which includes four dimensions (voice behavior, problem prevention, responsibility, and individual innovation). Statistically through the arithmetic mean, percentage, simple correlation, and Spearman-Brown equation, the researchers concluded the following:-Pioneering athletes working in sports institutions have a high level of proactive behavior consistent with their practices in aspects (vocal behavior, taking responsibility, and preventing problems) with a medium level of innovative initiative as individuals.The researchers also recommended the following:- The need for the administrations of sports institutions to provide more support for the proactive behaviors proposed or carried out by the pioneer athletes working in them and to support them with their innovative ideas in accordance with the principles of democracy, transparency, objectivity, shared responsibility, and ethical and organizational commitment to achieve the desired goals- Conduct a study on the obstacles to applying proactive behavior in sports institutions from the point of view of the staff working in them.
