Al-Rafidain Dental Journal (RDENTJ) is a peer-reviewed, double-blind, open-access journal in dentistry, published semiannually (March and September) by the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul. Established in 2001, the journal disseminates original research across all dental disciplines, including periodontics, orthodontics, restorative and aesthetic dentistry, preventive and pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, oral medicine and pathology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, dental biomaterials, oral biology, and pharmacotherapy.

                                         

All articles are published online as the official version and are freely accessible under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), permitting unrestricted reading, downloading, distribution, and reuse. The complete archive (since 2001) is available on the journal website. The journal discontinued its print edition in 2019 and now operates exclusively online. All articles are freely available under the CC BY 4.0 license. No subscription is required.

RDENTJ requires prior registration through its online submission system. Upon acceptance, authors are charged an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 100,000 IQD. No additional fees (e.g., submission, page, or color charges) apply. The journal operates without financial support from governmental or non-governmental organizations.

Editorial board members are appointed based on recognized academic expertise, publication record, and peer-review experience. All members have formally accepted their roles, and their affiliations and contributions to the peer-review process are current and active.
