Abstract
The subject of our research concerns the condition of Cameroonian woman in Les Impatientes by Djali Amadou Amal. It is an exciting novel that sheds light on the daily life of women and what they suffer in a society where they allow themselves to be dominated by a patriarchal authority and where they have no right to refuse anything that could harm them. . Through this novel, the writer manages to stage three heroines who, unlike their mothers, refuse their condition of poverty, insult and dependence. Marriage, in its various aspects, forms the core around which all the events of the novel are organized. Each new marriage reflects the pain, the fear, the hellish conflicts and the experience of women who are already married. Polygamy is the scourge that strikes society and makes co-wives fierce rivals ready to do anything to keep their place. The concept of patience is the word that accompanies the woman from her birth until her death. It is the only remedy offered to the woman who is the victim of physical violence.
