Abstract

The associated army consisted of several elements, including Arabs, Berbers, Negroes, and Sudan. These elements played a major role in spreading Islam in the southern desert, Morocco and Andalusia. They fought many battles and achieved great victories over the pagan tribes, over the Spaniards and the Franks. And they were loyal to him, and the stationed armys weapons were many and varied, including heavy ones, such as catapults and tanks, and light ones such as daggers, swords and spears, and protective ones such as helmets and shields. They have camps, and Ghana was in the important areas that the Almoravids conquered, and they were its youth to their state and became an important part of the army.
