Evaluation of the Book of Literature and Texts for the Fourth Scientific Grade from the Point of View of its Teachers
Abstract
The current research aims to (evaluate literature and texts for the fourth grade scientific textbook from the point of view of its teaching staff). The research sample consisted of (55) teachers and schools in the center of Nineveh Governorate, and the researcher adopted the descriptive approach, and a questionnaire that included (20) paragraphs after finding truthfulness and consistency for them. The researcher has Pearson correlation coefficient, the weighted mean, and the percentile weight as statistical means. The researcher reached a number of results, including:1. The introduction to the book did not include the general idea nor did it arouse the motivation of the learners towards teaching the book.2.The content of the book suffers from many weaknesses and deficiencies in its topics.3. The goals of the book that were set did not include the mental, cognitive and physical aspects, nor did they take into account the individual differences between the learners.4. The questions and discussion are not at the required level in terms of their forms and diversity. In light of the results, the researcher recommends reconsidering the writing of a textbook for literature and texts for the fourth scientific grade, with the need to take into account the opinions of Arabic language teachers and teachers in improving this book and involving them in the writing and curriculum development committees.
