Abstract

The Islamic movement in Israel is considered a very important issue for the Israeli and the Palestinian. As for the Palestinians, it is a factor of strength inside Israel whereas it is a factor of worry and unrest for the Israelis. This paper talks about the emergence of the Islamic movement in Israel since 1971. It talks about the causes behind its emergence, development, and spread through the governorate elections as well as its roles in warning people and reminding them of their Islamic and Arabic origins. Moreover, its role in defending Al-Aqsa in 1995 when the movement was been divided into parts: the northern part and southern one as well as the reasons behind that division.
