Abstract

The main clause (literally the answer of the conditional sentence) they ask you is one of the main subjects that attracts the attention of linguists. This paper is an attempt to study, the sentence under discussion, in the Glorious Qura:n. the study commes to the conclusion that this sentence They ask you is based on the imperative verb say which shows two things:
First: The main clause was not from the prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon him), but from (Allah). This is due to the importance of the answer of the question.
Second: The variation of the sentence in question from structural point of view was due to the difference between nominal and verbal constructions. The answers were very effective and so many of them were related to the human beings life at that time. These things were about mountains, women, the day of judgement and so on. Finally, one can say that this paper answered all the questions that occupied the minds of so many people
