Stages of development of methods of teaching French as a foreign language
Abstract
The French language is currently considered one of the main languages in the world, so learning it in the era of globalization becomes necessary, as is the case with any other foreign language. Through languages, cultures meet, dialogue, and horizons of knowledge open up to each other.The French language is witnessing an increase in the number of its learners all over the world after large numbers of primary and higher educational institutions realized the need to diversify the sources of knowledge by opening up to the most widespread languages in the world, and for this reason the French language was adopted as a basic curriculum that should be taught.As we know, the educational process cannot be achieved without the basic element, which is the learner, who is the target in education. The role of the learner in this educational process is to receive, and his academic activity leads him to acquire knowledge and skills that he did not possess before. On this basis, there is a close relationship between teaching and learning, as they are two sides of the same coin, and the best teaching leads to the best learning.This research sheds light on the process of teaching and learning French as a foreign language. It also explains the concepts associated with this educational approach and the relationship between education and education. Finally, it sheds light on the methods of teaching French as a foreign language in general.
