The aesthetic image in the Arabic manuscript
Abstract
This research aims to study the Arabic manuscript as artistic pieces of an aesthetic nature, as well as the case with the materiality of the manuscript or manuscript science called codicology. This means that we are in front of an aesthetic description of the manuscript; In addition to revealing the manuscript image. Despite the reliance of the manuscripts on manual copying, the communicative value of the manuscripts led to the diversity of their dimensions that aim to revive the historical and human dimension in the manuscript. Every researcher in manuscript science has a look at the method of understanding the manuscript physically, revealing the method of writing and designing it, while studying the type of paper and inks, that is, the technical formula that distinguished the manuscript from others, so it is necessary to consider each panel in terms of these data. The concept of investigation was limited to the text, but now the case has evolved into a study of the manuscript, a physical and aesthetic study, so codicology is a lesson in the nature of the vessel and its accessories. As for the new Arabic theory, it considers the investigation as a general approach that rests on the text, and on the container both, which allows us to say: The investigation of the manuscript includes the study of the text and its form, and this generalization is predominant in Arabic studies.
