The Effect of Short Inflections of in Signifying the Morphological Structure
Abstract
There are many words in Arabic that are similar in that they are voiceless but different in their inflections. This leads to a difference in their meaning. This difference is obvious in some and in others needs to thoughtfulness. It needs some pondering and thinking to arrive at that different meaning. For example, 'Al-Janna' and 'Al-Junna', 'Al-Dhar' and 'Al-Dhur', 'Al-Karh' and 'Al-Kurh', 'Haml' and 'Heml', etc. The importance of the studies lies in fixing the meaning for each inflection of the three short inflections and using them for similar words arriving at a clear and precise understanding for those words. Then orienting the different reading in one word depending on those meaning.
