Abstract

The term identity suffers from ambiguity due to the importance it enjoys, and its interference in various fields of knowledge, with the concept of the possibility of change and development through the paths of human thought, and the identity of Andalusia was always at stake, especially in the beginnings of the Arab-Islamic presence there. But the identity of Al-Andalus also emerged at the end of the Islamic presence again to occupy a prominent position due to the magnitude of the challenges faced by the Islamic presence there and the tragic end. The issue of expression of identity and excellence began to appear strongly in the poetry of Lsaneddine bin al-Khatib, in a time when he lived full of serious existential challenges. The follower of ibn al-Khatib's poetry finds that much of his poetry was a mirror of his active political role, and we find that the poet 'I'm" is a "we", which represents his national and religious affiliation, and this identification was necessary to preserve the identity of Andalusia, which was threatened by violent crusades that threaten its existence. One manifestation of a sense of belonging to a central identity is the feeling of pain and sorrow that appears in ibn al-Khatib's poems when he was exiled, and this feeling is the result of a latent sense of the poet's extravagance of a single belonging that brings him together with those who have been wronged.
