Criticism of the place reference in the interpretation of famous poems as case study
Abstract
The place is an essential pillar of pre-Islamic poetry, and the many, many place names in it draw the contemplative view of it and its aesthetic, and give rise to its confusion and question about the nature of its existence and what it is; Is this presence of a purely geographical nature to show the places and homes inhabited by pre-Islamic poets or their praises, beloved or others? He also benefited from it, and the Arab geographers and countries later relied on him, and they based on him the geography of the Arab countries and the locations of the countries. Or is this presence of a poetic geography that takes a premium from the geography of a real place and takes a portion of the poetic meaning, the specificity of poetry, and considering the place in it and the subject of the poem and its occasion? Or is it from a purely symbolic poetic nature and has no basis in real geographical presence?
