Many ancient and modern Arab scholars spoke of citing the words of Arabs, but they more often talk about citing grammar, even though their interest in this focuses on poetry. The truth is that the first Arab scholars adopted the al-Manthur from the words of the Arabs in this regard as their adoption of poetry, and this is a book of Sibuyah whose pages are hardly devoid of quoting the words of the Arab al-Manthur, whether it is from his hearing or a narration from those he heard from among the scholars who preceded him such as Hebron, Yunus, and Abi Al-Khattab Al-Akhfash, Issa bin Omar, Abu Amr bin Al-Alaa, Abdullah bin Abi Ishaq, and others. It is well known that these scholars were going out to Al-Bawadi to listen to the words of the Arabs and write it down, and they have done this since the need to interpret the Quran and understand the meanings of its words, and they have been doing this for two centuries or so, and some of them spent in the desert years for years throughout the Arabss healing and writing what Hear it from them.
