This study is aiming at introducing some Arabic electronic periodicals in the field of information and Library science and identifying the concept , types and characteristics of electronic periodicals. The attitude of the teaching staff at the two departments of library and Information science at the University of Mosul and the Mosul Technical Institute were studied through searching their opinions . A questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 17 teaching staff members for that purpose. As a conclusion The study shows that: 1- 100% of the teaching staff members included in the study prefer using Internet as an access to the electronic periodicals and 17-23 of them also use other means in addition to the Internet. 2- 100% of the teaching staff members also prefer to use free of charge electronic periodicals rather than the paid ones. 3- 70% of them prefer to use printed copies of electronic periodicals when available rather than the electronic copies. 4- 88% of them mentioned that the electronic periodicals are more update than printed periodicals
