Abstract

The urban transformation that human societies went through is characterized by its content of population transformations that differ from one stage to the other, some of which were not having a positive impact on population growth, including what was the other way around. Population transformations of urban stages are a mirror that reflects the nature of social, economic, and political life , Health .... and others, which in turn played a role in the population reality of these societies in terms of size, composition and distribution, the study aimed to identify the stages of population transformation in the world. And to uncover the urban transition and the most important urban transformations in human societies, the researcher adopted the historical, comparative and inductive approach Search and come to the following results: The population transformation is a fact of a realistic characteristic that human societies have gone through, and we may see a fourth transformation as a result of the conditions in the world today. That the demographic shift helped in the urban transition of human societies and was an effective factor in urban growth and rapid development. That the urban transition of mankind passed through several stages that were tantamount to a paradigm shift in human life. Each stage of the urban transition has its own population representation, in which the prevailing conditions (social, economic, cultural ....) play its effective role in the population variables at that stage.
