Abstract

Most specialists in the works of Jean-Paul Sartre agree that "The Words" is an early childhood autobiography, and it is rare to classify it as an autobiographical novel. Wide discussions about this topic have been raised on the pages of books, literary magazines and television screens without reaching a final opinion about it, as the book is inspired by a true story but is peppered with fictional details. In this research we tried to define the main features of the biography and study whether the book "Words "It adheres to its standards. After that, we presented a brief picture of the features of this text and referred to the fact that the narrative system used in it is authoritarian directing the text from its beginning to its end in a way that makes the characters prisoners of the reflections, wishes and whims of "Sartre - the author" so that the reader feels all the time that he is about a fictional text he wrote. Balzac "is known in his fictional writings as the narrator's dominance over the capabilities of the characters and the sequence of events, and that is what takes the text out of the real limits of time and space. The narrators great control over the memories of Sartre, the "child," appears by giving them a "rational" character that has always been known as "Sartre - the thinker", which makes the text at times a place for the definition of some philosophical concepts and at other times it is referred to as a bridge leading to a fictional novel.
