Abstract

Simile is considered as one of the most significant types of Arts of Rhetoric, and the most ancient style used in expression imagination. This is because simile is considered to be the best means for clarification and exhibition. Also, it is the best instrument to make meaning as clear as possible. In its essence, simile is the language of understanding and making other people understand. So, in Antras Mualaqa, the poet does not only use simile to explain an intellectual luxury or an additional elements that can be used just for the sake of adding touches of beauty to his pictures. But, simile is an essential part in the poetic picture, and in the psychological supposition of Antara himself without which the meaning can not be completed. The present paper, thus, consists of four units which are mentioned below, respectively.
