The aims of this study which is entitled The Users needs of the medical databases is to indentify the types of the CD-ROM versions of databases, available at the state (government) establishments in Mosul; College of Medicine, University of Mosul; Central Library, University of Mosul; Al-Zahrawi Teaching Hospital & AL-Razi General Hospital. It also tries to outline the Users and non-Users knowledge about databases according to their age, sex, title occupied & work location. In Addation this study also tries to identify the qualities of Users, the purpose of the Use & the reasons behind not using the databases. This study used the Analytical survey approach to survey the state medical establishment in Mosul, both questionnaires & direct interviews were used as tools for obtaining data collection from (416) Users (Teachers, doctors and chemister ...etc) This study has reached following Conclusions: The Percentage scale degree of the Users knowledge of medical databases is (75) The Percentage Scale degree of the Use of the medical databases is (77) of those who are aware of its availabitity. The researchers has put forward a number of suggestions among which the most important are: The works of the searching Unit at college of medicine & AL-Razi General Hospital must specialist in Auto searching only.
