Recently, a number of studies and articles have appeared that judge Al-Mutanabbi's poetic discourse through the passions that formed it. Most of these articles were not based on a scientific method. From this problem emerged the problem of the study, as it presented an analysis of passions in Al-Mutanabbis poetic discourse according to a scientific approach and objective procedural mechanisms which presented by the semiotics of passions.The study approximates Al-Mutanabbi's poem that he said in lamenting his grandmother, and deals with the production of meaning from the formation of passion in the self to the formation of discourse through a group of passions: sadness, despair, grumbling, anger, anger, and pride. Thus, I examined the evaluation of Al-Mutanabbis readers for these passions, positively and negatively, and presented a number of models that value these passions positively in relation to the self and society. More to the point, I also presented a number of models that unpleasantly situate them on the individual and society, especially the passions of anger and the passions of pride.
