Abstract

The current research aims to find out: 1.The level of domestic violence among high school girls students in Mosul.2. The level of Internet addiction among high school girls students in Mosul.3. The relationship between domestic violence and Internet addiction among high school girls students in Mosul. The final research sample consisted of (400) female students who were selected in a simple random way from high school girls' students for the academic year 2020-2021. To achieve the objectives of the research, a prepared scale for domestic violence was applied (Hadi, 2013), as well as the application of a prepared scale for Internet addiction (Al-Khalidi, 2014).The researcher verified the validity and performance of the research and then analyzed the research results and processed them statistically. As for the results of the research, it showed a decrease in the level of domestic violence as well as Internet addiction among the members of the research sample, and the results showed the existence of a positive, statistically significant relationship between domestic violence and Internet addiction. In light of the results, the researcher recommended: Strengthening educational media programs that spread awareness, combat domestic violence, rehabilitating battered female students in their families, and the need to build counseling programs for the prevention of Internet addiction among different samples of school stages.
