This study aims to shed light on the development of the agricultural cooperative movement in the Iraqi country in the period between 1976-1976. The peasant class suffered a lot of injustice and exploitation under the feudal monarchy before the revolution of July 14, 1958, which changed the course of political, economic and social life in Iraq. Then was the July 12-20 revolution, which began to take broad and tangible steps in Iraq towards achieving economic development and social welfare. The share of the working classes, including the peasant class, in this regard was clear and tangible. As the happiness of these classes is the goal of this revolution and for their sake. And that the growing interest and great support by the political leadership of the July 17 Revolution to revitalize, develop and support the cooperative movement in the Iraqi country is a bright sign of the important achievements in the record of this revolution as it proceeds steadily in the path of socialism characterized by justice and equality and the elimination of feudalism and backwardness. Our study begins with an analytical review of the development of the cooperative movement in Iraq during the aforementioned period, with the help of the latest statistics and data we have attained in this field, while diagnosing the most important obstacles that still exist until now. After that, we presented a summary of the relative size of the agricultural cooperative movement in Nineveh Governorate, with an attempt to determine the relative importance of agricultural cooperatives activities in this governorate with respect to the country. Finally, we included some findings and recommendations that we could identify through the study.
