metaphorical meaning shifts An approach in the light of symbolic anthropology
Abstract
The interest of symbolic anthropology has focused on studying symbolic forms represented by metaphorical sayings, as detailed explanatory symbols that map out cultural categories and classifications. There are no longer permanent metaphorical categories in realistic or conventional representation or in the imagination of the creator who creates his own world. The issue of metaphor formation goes beyond language relations in The structure refers to mans relationships with the worlds that surround him and what is required by the civilizational and cultural context. There are shifts in the metaphorical meaning between truth and metaphor and the space of metaphor itself. Discourse within the framework of metaphor achieves temporal supremacy and sweeps through all periods of time, and it necessarily enjoys a large share of producing competing metaphorical images in space.
