Political variables and their impact on the fall of the Umayyad Caliphate (41-132 A.H. / 661-749 A.D.)

The study dealt with the changes brought about by the Umayyads in state policy, aiming to impose their control and win the loyalty of their subjects, but the Muslims considered that a departure from the constants and historical precedents, which generated permanent rejection and opposition at the political, economic, military and social levels, all of which joined forces during the period of Umayyad rule to weaken and disintegrate them and thus the fall of their caliphate.
