The Religious Identity in the Poetry of Ahmed Bakheet
Abstract
This study examines the religious identity in the poetry of Ahmed Bakheet, analyzing the religious elements and their influence on the content and artistic directions of his poems. The research highlights Bakheet's use of religious symbols and concepts as a means of expressing his religious and philosophical vision, contributing to the shaping of his personal and intellectual identity. Additionally, the study explores the influence of the prophets' characters on the poet's personal experience and how it enhances his creative orientations. It offers a profound understanding of the interaction between religion and poetry in enriching literary content and deepening the poet's vision of life and faith. Overall, the importance of this study lies in the significance of the poet himself, as his poetry represents the poetry of the era and places him at the forefront of contemporary poetry. The researcher concludes that Ahmed Bakheet is influenced by the characters of the prophets and their stories, which is reflected in his poetic imagery. He directly or indirectly addresses many religious figures, and the researcher conducted a study, analysis, and interpretation of the texts to understand the motives behind his writing.
