Abstract

Water conservation is one of the strategic issues facing urban communities, especially in light of the accelerating climate changes that directly impact water resources. Water availability is a key indicator of urban life, and its significance is reflected not only in terms of quantity but also in the qualitative changes that may render it unsuitable for.human consumption, ultimately leading to a decline in public health in cities This study aims to analyze the spatial reality of residents' water needs in the city of Fallujah, taking into account current climate changes and their future impacts using modern technologies such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Additionally, it seeks to assess the distribution patterns of water resources and their adequacy in meeting the increasing demand, while identifying gaps in water infrastructure and management. Water consumption levels vary from one city to another and from one neighborhood to another, making water provision a fundamental pillar of sustainable urban development. This is because urban sustainability depends primarily on the availability of an integrated water supply system that meets residents' needs, particularly as river water levels continue to decline due to prevailing climatic conditions affecting.water source basins This study sheds light on future scenarios for meeting the water needs of the study areas residents by 2030. It also proposes sustainable solutions aimed at enhancing . water security in the city amid growing climate challenges.
