Abstract

The poet Samih Al-Qassem is one of the poets of the Palestinian resistance, whose poems formed a turning point that changed the course of Palestinian poetry, so Al-Qassem transformed the poem into a vision, a prophecy, and a dream and linked them to the unreal and the necessary, which made these poems a rich material that critics resorted to deciphering its codes, clarifying its ambiguity and facilitating its understanding among the recipient .As this research revealed the textual critical discourse, specifically the image and repetition, because they are an important phenomenon in the poetry of al-Qasim, so the poet resorted to the diversity in the use of images between old analogous images and modern macro or partial images, which made his poetry an artistic painting, and a rich material for the critics, who They dealt with in their study the poet Samih al-Qasim, and these critical opinions were varied and different according to the different approaches used in the analysis. The research showed the critics' style in uncovering the phenomenon of repetition, as it differs from one critic to another. Most critics resorted to studying repetition to count this phenomenon and to show its importance and location in his poetry.
