This family was considered one of the families that grew up in the homes of the Ansar and was characterized by science and knowledge, so they were narrators of the noble hadith, the biography and the Maghazis, and they held administrative positions, including the mandate of Amr bin Hazm on Najran. Madinah district and also in the matter of collecting and transcribing hadith in the era of Caliph Omar bin Abdul Aziz, who ordered one of the sons of this family to collect hadith from the narrators.
